A brief bio

I hold a B.A. in Peace & Conflict Studies from U.C. Berkeley with a focus on community-based education, with some Spanish acquired during a semester abroad in Mexico.

Later earned an M.A. in Multimedia from California State University, East Bay, where my thesis explored the cultural impact of digital media and included a foray into educational psychology.

In 2023, Nielsen Norman Group certifications in UX Design and User Research further strengthened my professional skills.

Outside of design work, time is spent outdoors — cycling is my favorite pastime, but I also enjoy a nice hike.

Originally from California, I now call Vancouver, WA home.

My skills

  • User Experience Design

Focusing on our user's challenges, I seek to simplify and clarify software experiences.

  • User Research

User interviews, A/B testing, usability studies, surveys, and deep-diving into analytics. Let's find the best, most cost-effective means to communicate with and understand our users.

  • Design Thinking

Beyone the performative aspects of killing many post-its, I'm skilled at facilitating workshop sessions that drive team alignment.

  • Design Advocacy

UX Design and User Research are often misunderstood in software organizations — I can help to present, clarify, and promote the team's contributions.

“Good design, when it’s done well, becomes invisible. It’s only when it’s done poorly that we notice it.”
